MOTHERLAND

Hello lovelies,
I recently came back from the motherland, that is Nigeria!
I'm still on a high at the moment and I kinda don't wanna come down, because I had such an amazing time whilst I was out there.

I visited three states. First stop being Lagos. I love Lagos for some downtime, where I visit my grandparents, nieces and nephews. I also get to explore, going to markets. My favourite being Balogun. One of the biggest markets in Lagos located on the Island. You can find almost everything there from fabrics to homeware. It is huge!!

Another state I visited was River state. I stayed in the capital Port Harcourt, known for it's crude oil refineries. I was invited to a beautiful traditional wedding out there and it was so nice. We took in the sights whilst driving through the city...it's the cleanest, greenest place I have seen. My birthday fell on the day I was in PH, so it was nice to be in the heat for a change.
Oh and I must say, they have the yummiest grilled catfish dish out there. Just letting y'all know.

The last place I visited was Edo State. I stayed in Benin City. Again, another day of seeing family and sights. Did lots more touristy stuff in the city like going to the cinema and restaurant hopping, which is enjoyable for me.

As you can see, I have a lot of food pictures because the food is everything in Nigeria! I literally ate till my hearts content (if I could have roasted plantain right now I would *inserts crying face*).
I had such a lovely time, and can't wait to be back!

Maybe Abuja next time?

See ya X

BREAKFAST WITH AURELIA

I've come across many amazing skincare products but nothing that largely focuses on Nature, Probiotics and BioOrganic.

Before I get into Aurelia, let's talk science-y stuff shall we?

You may have heard of probiotic supplements for your body, that helps the inner beauty and to also keep your digestive system in order. Well, Probiotics are also beneficial for the outer appearance, meaning your skin. It helps target the main causes of anti-ageing and tame chronic skin conditions such as acne, psoriasis and eczema. Organic skincare products are produced without added chemicals and focus on ethical growing and harvesting ingredients.

Say hello to Aurelia!

They say:

The term BioOrganic encompasses the natural and ethically sourced 'BioOrganic plant and flower botanicals used throughout Aurelia's probiotic skincare range. These are organically harvested in the majority of cases.

Your body is your temple and I always strive to live the best life I can, being aware of what I put into my body to maintain a better health and wellbeing. I feel if you care about what goes into your body, then you should equally care about what you put on your body. As someone who has never tried natural skincare before, you read and hear information on "going organic" most of the time, but I never really knew what it meant. I'm eager to know more about natural skincare and see if it is something I could decide to get into.

So, when I got the invitation to attend Aurelia's first pop-up bloggers boutique event, I was excited!
We enjoyed complimentary treatments and met the founder of Aurelia, Claire Vero. It was then, we were introduced to their newest product launch, the Botanical Cream Deodorant.

With Aurelia starting out just three years ago, they have already made a name for themselves. Being featured in magazines such as Vogue and Elle. They are currently stocked in department stores in Liberty and Space NK.

Overall, I had a great time learning about their ethos and overall brand. We were gifted travel size goodies of their range and already I am impressed! Just from one use, I was amazed of how my skin looked and felt. I should probably talk more in detail about the products in a separate post.

If you are into natural skincare or better yet, maybe deciding on doing the switch...Aurelia is it!

You can find them here .

Have you tried organic skincare before?
